Jes found aerial acrobatics and pole dancing by accident in 2017: freshly married and weening herself off of a decade of mountain biking and road cycling accompanied by a slow-to-recover broken/sprained ankle in an unfortunate incident involving horses, underbrush, and memorial day weekend debauchery (doctors never could agree on what happened). She took one pole class and decided to join a performance series. From there it has become fuel to her thirst for balance, strength, flexibility, acrobatics party tricks, and continuing to nurture her competitive spirit.

Jes found Tease in 2018 attending a workshop after Colorado Pole Championships, but didn't regularly attend classes until sometime in 2021 when her friend and coach helped start a conversation between Ashlee and Jes. As a result, she splits her training and instructing time between Fort Collins (Limelight Fitness) and Denver (Tease RiNo location) both taking advantage of the unique resources each studio has in her pursuit of "age-mature female athletes exist, kick serious ass, and look sexy doing it," and giving back to the communities she loves.

When she's not dreaming up pole shenanigans, you can find Jes doing nerdy things in the garden, pursuing movement certifications, playing with yarn/hooks/needles, traveling, boating, and otherwise being a home body.
