Stefanie Chow (or Showtime Stefanie) started her journey in the "circus world" in August 2019 while she lived in San Francisco. She was encouraged by a friend to try aerial yoga through ClassPass and instantly fell in love. Several classmates were members at San Francisco Pole & Dance down the street and convinced Stefanie to push past her hesitation and take a pole dancing class. In one fateful conversation, a friend said she did pole dancing to find community, practice self-love, and get stronger. How could anyone not want those things?

Stefanie became enamored with the art of choreography, a.k.a. having instructors tell her what to do without the pressure of freestyling. When she relocated to Denver in January 2020, she found her new home at Tease Studio, where she now lives her dream of teaching pole technique, pole choreography, and Liquid Motion. Witnessing students unlock new possibilities within their bodies and minds brings her immense gratification, especially when they prove to themselves that they're capable of more than they ever believed.

Outside the studio, Stefanie manages events and builds mobile apps. With a background in tech and consulting, she cherishes the creative outlet that dancing provides. And in case pole wasn't enough of a hobby, Stefanie enjoys anything related to true crime (shout-out to murderinos), her huskies Oz and Willow, and writing about food and drink experiences on Yelp. Subscribe to Stefanie's (soon-to-be-relaunched) blog at stefaniechow.com, and maybe if you're lucky, you'll catch her performing stand up comedy around Denver.
