Tease Policies

Tease Studio Policies

It is your responsibility to know and understand the studio policies. There are not exceptions and these are the policies and rules you agreed to by creating your profiles, attending classes, purchasing passes/ memberships and so forth. Please make sure you read policies in its entirety.

Sign up policy ::

Although you are welcome to drop-in to any of our classes, we strongly suggest that you reserve your spot in advance due to classes selling out often and limited sizes. Single class or package payment is made upon sign-up. Sign-ups may be made online or by using the Tease Studio App. You may sign only yourself up for classes, as we cannot allow clients to sign others up for classes.

Cancellation policy ::

Due to our class size limits and in order to be fair to your fellow students, we kindly ask that you cancel/reschedule a class at least 8 HOURS PRIOR to start time in order to keep the credit for your class if you are unable to attend. If you do not cancel within this period or if you are a no-show to the class, you will lose the class, as if you had attended (drop ins will lose the drop in purchased, punch card holders will lose the punch, etc.).

IF you do not show up for class this is considered a "no show" and will be charged $20 to all Unlimited (all unlimited passes whether promo or regular, all autopay monthly contracts) and monthly auto pay class members. If you registered with a drop in, package or thru a 3rd party booking system, you will loose your class.

Unlimited monthly package holders (all unlimited passes whether promo or regular, all autopay monthly contracts) and all monthly auto pay members will be charged a $15 fee to their credit card on file per class missed. If you have a class package (drop in, punch cards, packages), you will lose your class AND be charged $15.

We unfortunately cannot make any exceptions to this policy. All members are required to have a form of payment on file for the late cancelation fees that they acquire. If there is not a form of payment on file the account will be charged and must be paid before attending another class.

Our cancellation policy applies to our private lessons along. We ask that you cancel 12 hours BEFORE the scheduled session. If late canceled/ no show for private session, it will be lost.

***Policies have been updated as of 3/30/2021 regarding cancelation fee increase and increase in cancelation window. These policies can change at anytime as needed and will be updated to clients via email and posting on website.

Wait list policy ::

Our classes are popular and can fill up but we do have a waitlist available and spots tend to open up!

Signing yourself up on the waitlist is treated the same way as if you are signing up for a class. If you DO get added in before the start of class, you will receive an email notification (notification of your choosing per your personal preferences listed in your account profile). If you need to cancel, you are responsible for canceling no later than 6 hours before, otherwise the same late policy applies (see above). If the class is full and a spot does not open up, then you will NOT be considered enrolled in class and will not be charged a late fee if you don't show. The class that you purchased will be available( or replaced on your punch card) for use by you in your MindBody profile for booking.

The confirmation email is sent up to an hour before class start time if you are admitted into the class from the waitlist. Client is responsible for attending class within 6 hours of class start time. Studio will contact client directly if availability within class occurs within the hour before start time. Please make sure you have allowed the studio to send email or text updates of confirmations.

We unfortunately cannot make any exceptions to this policy.

Late policy ::

If you are not present when a class starts and there is a client waiting for a spot to open, your position will be surrendered and you will lose your class/be charged a late cancel charge.

If you are going to be late for a class, please make sure to call us prior to class start time so that we can hold your spot for you! If you are 15 minutes or more late to class we have the right to late cancel you. At 15 minutes after the class start time, you will no longer be allowed into class regardless if you show up or not. There are no exceptions to this policy. Please note that all morning classes (6:30AM to 12:20PM weekday) will not have a front desk and doors lock at the start time of class.

If you late cancel or no show from a registered class, you are subject to Tease Studio cancelation policies and will be charged $15 late cancel fee if you are a monthly member. If you have a class package (drop in, punch cards, packages), you will lose your class AND be charged $10. If you do not have a card on file, you will not be allowed into class until the late cancelation fee is paid.

All studio transactions use the defaulted information that a client has provided for the studio to use. It is the responsibility of the client/ account holder to keep the billing information current as the studio does not store credit cards nor has access to them. Changing the billing information in your profile, will change the billing default information that is accessible to the studio. No outstanding balances will be held after 30 days. Payment options are a benefit we are happy to be able to extend to our clients. We understand that life happens and situations can arise creating payments to be interrupted. If this occurs please reach out to the studio before an attempt to run payment occurs. If payments are returned to the studio there is a $25 charge along with membership privileges being revoked until payment can be made.

All sales, packages and Groupons have expiration dates that can not be extended unless purchased extension (see below). Activation dates are the date of sale unless otherwise stated on promotion or receipt. Unfortunately there can not be exceptions to this policy.

*There is an option to purchase an extension of 30 days on packages and classes that were purchased through the studio, for $25 BEFORE the expiration date. You will need to email manager@teasestudio.com or call into studio to have account/ package reviewed and extended. This is not including Groupon packages.

Class Schedule changes::

Growth can also prompt schedule changes--which is definitely something we love to see but we also want to ensure that classes are not getting overcrowded. When substitutions are made in the schedule there will not be credits or transfers to accounts.

Please be aware that sometimes classes have to be canceled for circumstances out of our control such as severe weather, illness, injury, etc. We understand that this can be disappointing and should there be extensive situations, we are happy to consider extending expiration dates on packages/memberships.

We do try our best to limit any changes in our schedule, there are instances that they can not be avoided and are necessary. Each of our instructors possess specialty skills and as such, cannot be easily replaced thereby making it challenging to find substitutes, etc. Instances where changes must be made could be staff availability--other jobs, school, families, etc. that all can impact teaching schedules.

Communications ::

Please be aware that all communication regarding updates in classes, policy changes, late cancelation fees, studio changes etc will be made through emails, our website, studio newsletters and/or posted at the studio. We reserve the right to make changes to any all studio policies, contracts, payments, schedules, hours, etc as needed at anytime. All changes will be sent through emails directly to clients or via newsletter and/ or posted at the studio in a timely manner. It is the responsibility of the client to stay abreast of these changes by regularly checking in with email communications.

Memberships and Package communications::

All communications regarding membership charges, changes and cancelations need to be communicated via email at manager@teasestudio.com within the time frame that was stated on initial agreements. Cancelations need to be communicated via email 30 days prior to payment processing/ renewal date. Please be aware that voicemails and messages are not considered notice of termination of memberships and/or agreements. All VIT memberships have a minimum term of 3 months, termination before the 3 months term results in $250 early termination fee.

Weather or Event Exceptions::

Please be aware that snow, sun and rain are out of our control. We can on cancel classes if weather conditions become a concern for our staff and clients. If the studio is open and classes are being conducted there is not a weather exemption for late cancels or no shows. Please make sure to keep abreast of the weather conditions when signing up for classes. If the studio does cancel classes due to an act of God such as weather, your class will be placed back into your account and there will not be any other charges accrued.

Client Etiquette ::

Tease was created as a way for everyone to LOVE their fitness. We cherish this community and our space.

As a client, please help keep our mission going strong by respecting the following ::

  • All students must be 18+. We love children but our classes are designed for adult bodies and maturity levels. Absolutely no minor is allowed to be in studio during scheduled classes due to liability reasons. Please feel free to reach out for any questions you may have regarding this policy at manager@teasestudio.com
  • No cell phones on the dance floor during class except for freestyle or unless stated by instructor or staff. We understand that work and personal life demand access to you occasionally, please let the instructor know if there is an emergency/ situation that would need the use of your phone
  • No non-clients are able to observe classes that are in sessions.
  • Please do not interrupt an instructor or class in-session. You are welcome to discretely move through the studio to use our changing areas and watch the end of class while you are waiting for your session. The studio facilities (waiting rooms, locker rooms & bathrooms) are available to you 10 min prior to class start time.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of class, especially if it is your first time attending tease studio.
  • Please check-in for your class prior to participating by giving your name to our front desk staff, even if they know you. Be sure to let them know if you're staying for more than 1 class.
  • Please listen and be respectful when the instructor is addressing the group.
  • There are no pets or children allowed in Tease Studio during scheduled class times.
  • No person will be allowed to participate in classes/ parties/ etc. while under the influence of alcohol or any other mind altering chemicals is strictly prohibited. For your safety of our instructors and the safety of others, we have a zero tolerance policy against participating in our programs when under the influence of any substance that alters mental and/or physical state. Any persons suspected of being under the influence will be required to leave.

Pole Class Specific Etiquette ::

Please respect all “levels” set by Tease Studio for your safety and ultimate pole instruction experience. All new students must start with “pole technique level 1″ and all students need instructor permission to move to a different level, upon mastering each movement of the current level. If you arrive for a class that you are not ready to attend, our reception staff will help you to reschedule.

  • No rings or bracelets when dancing on the poles please. No sharp or large buckles or metal on shoes please.
  • Please do not wear any lotion during the day you are taking a pole class. moisturizer makes the poles very slippery and builds up a residue that makes it difficult for you and your fellow students to work with.
  • You must have an instructor, NOT ANOTHER STUDENT show you new pole dance technique and be present while you are first attempting any new tricks. Pole technique at tease studio is instructed in a very specific and regimented order so that proper technique and pole dance safety will be followed. While first attempting any climbing or inversions, an instructor must be present to spot and assist you.
  • Our pole/ lyra/ sling equipment has a weight maximum of 375 pounds, set by the manufacturer. For safety reasons, we ask that you please not participate in pole class if you are over this weight limit. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this policy.
  • Please do not attempt to instruct your fellow students with current or new movements. Our instructors are trained & certified professionals in their form of dance/fitness and it is important for everyone’s safety that this rule is respected. If you are seen instructing another student, you will be asked to stop or to leave class. Even if your peer is an instructor, peer to peer teaching and/or coaching. This includes spotting others, which is against our policy for liability reasons.
  • We share poles, lyras and slings. Expect when coming to classes that you will be sharing your apparatus with another client. Get excited that you get to meet someone new or just come with your friends!
